Student pilots can select from a variety of aircraft to train in . . . or they can train in their own aircraft.  Training aircraft currently available at the Akron, NY Airport are described below.  Each of these rental aircraft are meticulously maintained by our onsite aircraft maintenance personnel:

PA-28/161 Piper Warrior:  This low wing trainer is equipped with standard instrument gauges and is certified for flight in instrument meteorological conditions (IFR).  It has four seats and a small baggage area.  It currently rents for $84/hour.

Cessna 172 Sky Hawk:  This high wing trainer is equipped with standard instrument gauges and is also certified for IFR flight.  It, too, has four seats and cruises at 115 knots.  It currently rents for $84/hour.

Cessna 152:  This high wing basic trainer provides the most affordable training opportunity for budget-minded students.  It has two seats and is certified for VFR flight only.  It rents for $59/hour.
