Flight training is arranged in building-block fashion beginning with the Student Private Pilot Certificate. This typically leads to attainment of the Private Pilot Certificate. After that, many pilots pursue an Instrument Rating, then Commercial Pilot. Some then go on to become Certificated Flight Instructors while others move directly into corporate or airline jobs.
