Advance IFR Procedures

IFR flight can take many forms.  It could be a simple hop between two airports with a quick climb up through a thin cloud layer.  Or, it could be a "take no prisoners' flight in IMC conditions through the busiest airspace in the world, with landings at Class B airports.

This two-day training course prepares instrument pilots for some of the most demanding single pilot operations they will ever encounter.  The training takes place during a series of actual IFR flights through the busy northeast U.S. corridor with instrument approaches, landings, and departures at seven busy Class B airports.

Training includes a thorough review of all IFR enroute, approach, and departure procedures, theory, airspace, and weather necessary to develop effective IFR decision-making and risk assessment decisions throughout flight conditions.  Participants receive a logged biennial flight review (BFR) and an instrument proficiency check (IPC) during the process.
